Yono Games APK Old Version: Should You Install One?

By All Yono Official Editorial Team · Identity · Published 20 October 2026 · How we check facts

Short answer: installing an old-version APK from a mirror site is riskier than installing the current one from the page you started on. You cannot tell from the file name whether it has been modified, and an old build can fail to log in at all. If you do install one, check the package name and the permissions first, and never use a file labelled "mod".

18+ only. All Yono Official is an independent directory and is not the official website of any app. Online money games are prohibited in India under the Online Gaming Act, 2025. Read our legal guide and Responsible Gaming page.

Why People Look for Old Versions

• The new version asks for permissions or an update they do not want.
• The app stopped opening after an update (see why Yono games stop working).
• A message or video recommends a specific older build.

Three Problems With Old-Version Files

1. You cannot see who changed it. A mirror shows a version number, not who packaged the file.
2. Names and packages disagree. In search results we saw a mirror listing titled "GOgo Rummy apk" under package com.cargotruck.bggra, while the Google Play listing that appears for Gogo Rummy is named "MOMO Rummy" under a different package, com.gogorummy.casinofungame. When name and package do not match, you cannot know which app you are getting.
3. Old builds may not work. An app that needs a current server connection can refuse an outdated client, so the file may install but never log in.

Checklist Before You Sideload Anything

• Start from the page you were using, not a search result for "old version".
• After install, read the package name and publisher in Settings → Apps → App details.
• Read the permissions. A game does not need SMS, contacts or accessibility access.
• Avoid anything labelled "mod", "hack", "unlimited" or "latest + old".
• Do not log into your main email or bank on a device where you sideloaded a game.

FAQs

Is an old version of a Yono APK safer?

No. Age does not make a file safer, and a mirrored old file is harder to verify than the current one.

Where can I find old versions of Yono games?

We do not recommend mirror sites. If you need one, check the package name against the app you expected.

Why does my Yono app say update required?

Many of these apps require the current client to connect. See our guide on why Yono games stop working.

Are real-money apps legal in India?

No. The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, in force since 1 May 2026, prohibits online money games in India.
